Maskit, Israel’s original luxury fashion
house, was founded in 1954 by Ruth
Dayan with a vision to preserve and
elevate the country’s diverse cultural
heritage through design. What began as
a social initiative to provide employment
for new immigrants quickly evolved into
an iconic brand, weaving together
traditional craftsmanship with refined,
modern silhouettes.
Drawing inspiration from Middle Eastern,
North
African,
and
Mediterranean
influences, Maskit’s creations are rich in
texture,
detail,
and
story.
Hand
embroidery,
intricate
textiles,
and
artisanal techniques remain at the heart
of each piece, reflecting a deep respect

heritage
while
embracing
contemporary elegance.

Today, under renewed creative direction
of Sharon Tal, Maskit continues to honor
its roots while redefining Israeli luxury for
a global audience. Each garment carries
a sense of history—timeless yet relevant
—designed for the woman who values
culture, craftsmanship, and understated
sophistication. It was a true honor to
see Maskit`s select pieces on the CIFW
Runway in 2025.
